Key MS FREE After School  Program Registration - Register now!

Registration for the After-School Program is completed by parents as part of the beginning of the school year paperwork. In order to participate in any after-school clubs and activities, all students must be registered for the program. Students arriving mid-year will complete the registration with their paperwork during course registration. There is NO cost to participate in the After School program!

Please complete the After-School Registration Form so your student can participate as soon as our program begins!

Mondays - Block A (2:40-3:40 PM) // Block B (3:45-4:30 PM)

  • Academic Support (Block A Only)

    • Teachers dedicate an hour per week after school to assist students who need extra support. Please contact the specific teacher to know which day they plan to stay after and to set up a day to get help.

  • English Zone 8th Grade (Block A Only)

    • Teachers dedicate an hour per week after school to assist 8th grade students who need extra support in English 8.

  • History Zone (Block A Only)

    • Teachers dedicate an hour per week after school to assist students who need extra support in History.

  • Computer Lab (Block A & B)

    • Turn your evening into downtime. Get all school work and home work completed during computer lab before going home for the evening. Students can read, do homework, access makerspace boxes, and more.

      • Location: Lecture Hall | Sponsor(s): Ms. Ghile
  • Debate Club (Block A & B)

    • A safe space for students to learn how to debate the pros and cons of current events and hot topics. 

      • Location: Classroom | Sponsor(s): Ms. Delosrios 
  • Dungeons and Dragons (Block A & B)

    • Students work together in teams to solve problems and complete missions.

      • Location: Library | Sponsor(s): Ms. Lane and Ms. Promisel

    • Model UN (Block A & B)

      • Students will learn about the countries that make up the United Nations. Student will research and discuss hot topics about those countries. Students will have an opportunity to attend a Model UN conference with other FCPS Model UN students.

    • Girl Talk (Block A & B)

      • A safe space for students to come together to meet new friends and have healthy dialogue about current events. Students will also be engaged in team building and leadership activities. 

        • Location: Classroom | Sponsor(s): Ms. Sturdavant 
    • Basketball (Block A & B)

      • Come with your friends after school and play pick-up games against other students in the school!

        • Location: Gym | Sponsor(s): Mr. Ryan
    • Cross Country (Block A & B)

      • Students must have a completed physical returned to the athletic coordinator in order to participate. 

        • Location: Field | Coach(s): Ms. Arza

    Wednesdays - Block A (2:40-3:40 PM) // Block B (3:45-4:30 PM)

      • Play video games, and other games while having some down time with your friends.

    • Green Team (Block A & B)

      • Students will work together to come up with ideas and activities for how we and maintain a green (echo) school. Students will participate in various fun service learning projects.

    • Mixed Sports (Block A & B)

      • Join us for fun games such as kickball, infection, co-op team games and tag!

        • Location: Gym | Sponsor(s): Ms. Bollers
    • Drama (Block A & B)

      • Drama Club is for all students at KMS who are interested in exploring their creative side. Activities will include Ensemble Building, Theatre games, Team Improvisation, and Audition Techniques. You do not need to be enrolled in a theatre class to participate in Drama Club.
