A Comprehensive Curriculum

Key Middle School offers a challenging and engaging curriculum. Students can delve into the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) or the advanced Level IV academic program. In addition to core subjects, students can explore a variety of electives, including family and consumer sciences (FACS), engineering, theatre, and orchestra. Our dynamic library and Young Scholars program further enrich the learning experience for all Patriots!

Student Leadership

Our Student Council Association, National Junior Honor Society, Service Club, and Key Minds Matter Club create opportunities for student voice in school decision-making. Inclusivity

Every student at Key MS can access the courses they need, all the way up to our high school credit-bearing classes. Programs like Key to Key (our partnership with Key Center) and adapted electives expand horizons and create new opportunities for our students.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination)

We offer AVID as an elective and implement schoolwide AVID strategies to promote strong academic habit-forming, setting up our students for success in the post-secondary world!
 

Enriching After-School Opportunities

Key Middle School's Patriot Pride After-School Program offers a wide range of activities to cater to diverse interests. Students can participate in sports like cross country, basketball, soccer, and flag football, or engage in creative pursuits like art club, Model UN, and Dungeons & Dragons. Academic support, STEM clubs, and fitness programs are also available, ensuring a well-rounded after-school experience.

Student Life

We want students to love their time at Key MS, and we invest in opportunities for fun and joy. Our annual Turkey Trot, student performances, end-of-quarter celebrations, June field day, and student vs. staff volleyball game are just a few examples of this priority.

Come to our outdoor classroom and meet the Key MS chickens! The chickens are part of our Get2Green club, which leads environmental initiatives around the school and creates exciting and authentic learning experiences for our students.
